VR for Intensive Care
DHM ECMO-VR

updesignstudio-uxdesign-ecmovr-header

The enrichment of blood with oxygen outside the body, known as ECMO, is a risky treatment. The care of both the individual and the system is carried out by trained nursing professionals. Virtual Reality provides a protected learning space for the development of routines and the reduction of barriers.

Our Strategy

Our immersive training was developed in close collaboration with the German Heart Center Munich. From surveying medical personnel and preparing didactic content in click dummies to programming the interaction and interface in 3D, an ideal workflow was established, ensuring the efficient realization of the ECMO-VR.

ECMO-VR responds to acute shortages of skilled professionals, complex technology, and time-consuming training sessions. The virtual intensive care room is spatially and temporally independent, adapting to every shift schedule.

Das ECMO Projekt ist am DHM sicherlich eines der
innovativsten Projekte, die wir hier zur Zeit haben.
